Duane Sorensen, General Contractor, has been in construction since 1971. Advancing very quickly in the trades, he became carpenter foreman, overseeing a variety of residential housing projects starting in 1974. After a number of years of being a foreman in the Northwest and Western suburbs of Chicago, Duane took his skills downtown and worked commercially, remodeling various offices and storefronts. In the 1980’s, he began to focus more on residential remodeling and custom homes.

After seeing the need for better quality work at a fair price, Duane Sorensen started Nordic Builders, Inc. in 1987. Licensed, bonded, and insured for over 24 years, Nordic Builders, Inc. has provided residential and commercial service for the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our workers are also covered by workman’s compensation and liability insurance. Nordic Builders, Inc. is also lead-based certified for EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP).
